COOKIES... They're not just for breakfast anymore.
Wait... that's the wrong saying.
Well, anyway, let's talk about cookies.
Cookies are little computer programs that websites use to help you get
around more quickly when you visit their site. Your computer stores them
so that it takes less time to load a page. Some of the information for
that page may already be stored on your computer, and somehow the cookie
knows that. One great thing about cookies is that they can remember your
preferences for the splash page, which keeps you from having to watch
the video every time you click a link from Vision by email. (Unless you
want to watch it, of course!)
Your browser is the gatekeeper for cookies coming into your computer. If you select medium security, you should have no problem receiving cookies from
VisionOnDemand.net. Some people and organizations prefer to keep their security settings higher than that. Most browsers have options for you to allow cookies from sites you choose and they block all others out. The computer guru in your congregation should be able to help you adjust your settings to balance your needs for freedom and security on the web.
So, remember, if you want to skip the login on VisionOnDemand.net, have a cookie. (We'll clean up the crumbs!)
